DZRT was born from a passion for authentic Italian gelato and a desire to bring that experience home. To learn the craft at its source, Marcello Di Vito traveled to Bologna, Italy, the birthplace of some of the world's finest gelato traditions, where he studied artisanal gelato making alongside his father. Together, they immersed themselves in traditional techniques, ingredient selection, and the meticulous process behind true Italian gelato. Inspired by the culture, craftsmanship, and dedication they experienced in Italy, they returned with a vision: to create a place where every scoop reflects the authenticity, quality, and passion of genuine Italian gelato.
